Vynta Video Player
Privacy policy
Effective and last updated: September 11, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains how the Vynta Video Player Android application (“Vynta”, “the app”) handles information. Vynta is a media player. It does not provide videos, channels or subscriptions. You should open only content and sources you own or are permitted to use.
2. Media access and information stored on your device
With your permission, Vynta reads video files and related metadata available on your device so it can display and play them. The app may create thumbnails and store playback positions, viewing history, favorites, collections, queues, saved moments, folder choices and preferences in its local application storage.
Your video files and filenames are not uploaded to a Vynta-operated server as part of ordinary local playback. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it removes local Vynta metadata, but does not normally delete the original videos stored elsewhere on your device. You can delete those files with Vynta where the operating system permits it, or with your device’s file manager.
3. Features you choose to use
If you open a direct video address, connect to WebDAV, receive a file over local Wi-Fi, cast to a compatible device, or share a video, the selected address, credentials or media may be sent to the server, browser, device or application you chose. Vynta stores saved links and WebDAV connection details locally on your device. Traffic to an HTTP address is not encrypted; prefer HTTPS and trusted networks.
Background playback and picture-in-picture may keep playback active when Vynta is not in the foreground. Notifications can be used for playback controls, file reception and, if enabled, app messages.
4. Service providers and automatically processed information
The app includes third-party services for crash reporting, app integrity, notifications, consent management, advertising delivery and measurement. Depending on your device, region, consent choices and the app build, these providers may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, language, app interactions, consent status, diagnostics, crash data and notification tokens.
- Google Play services, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform — Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
- OneSignal for notifications — OneSignal Privacy Policy.
- Meta Audience Network mediation, where available — Meta Privacy Policy.
These providers act under their own terms and retention practices. Vynta does not sell your personal video library or the contents of your local videos.
5. Retention, security and children
Local library data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Information handled by service providers is retained under their policies. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but access is limited to what is needed for the features described above.
Vynta is a general-audience media tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to us.
6. Your choices
You can control media, notification and nearby-device permissions in Android settings; choose whether to use network features; manage consent where a consent prompt is available; remove saved links and connection details; clear Vynta’s local history; or clear all app data. Restricting a permission can disable the feature that needs it.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
